MSMHC: Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

With the outbreak of Covid- 19 pandemic, the world has changed its lifestyle and is fighting a battle to restore normalcy and save life. To counter the negative impacts of pandemic and bring solace to people at this most challenging time, the Missionary Sisters (MSMHC)in different parts of the world set out on a mission with their innovative ideas and resources.
Through the concerted effort, the MSMHCs under the directive of Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI), the social wing of the Congregation, reached out to people at the periphery, who were most affected by Covid-19 pandemic with their various relief activities.

Little Flower Convent, Hatigaon, the provinces of Shillong, Guwahati, Tezpur, Tinsukia, Kolkatta, Bangalore, and African Mission responded creatively to the needs of humanity battered by the deadly virus through various relief work, awareness program and intercessory prayers.

Together the MSMHCs reached out to thousands of families and individuals in the entire North East India and other parts of India  since nationwide wide lockdown from 24 March 2020 to combat Covid - 19.

The mission which has began continues to reach out to many more people in need.
