MSMHC Hatigaon, in collaboration with the Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI), St. Margaret's School, Peachlands and Little Flower School, Hatigaon extended flood relief service to the people of Chandrapur, Guwahti. More than 500 families of Kalangpar, Nalani, Dhipuji, Garobadha, Dhamkanda and Kanapu villages were assisted with relief items such as rice, dal, biscuits and drinking water.

The plight of the people in the flood affected areas was pathetic as they had to remain disconnected for almost two weeks. Among this distressed group, the state of women and children were in worse condition.
