MSMHC PROVINCIAL CHAPTER 2020 - 2021

Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians Commenced the Provincial/Delegation Chapter 2020 – 2021 in all the provinces and in Italian delegation on different dates and in different venue.

The grace-filled days of the Chapter involved every MSMHC deeply in the study and reflection on the theme: Mysticism of the Grace of Unity: A Means for radical renewal for the MSMHC consecration and mission. The theme emphasized on the mystical dimension of consecrated life and our mission. Sr. Philomena Mathew, the Superior General highlighted that the credibility of our mission depends entirely on our ability to establish an intimate union with God. Only in constant union with God, as Don Bosco, our Founder Venerable Bishop Stephen Ferrando and our pioneers, we will be able to say with the Apostle John: “We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.” The deep experience of God in constant union with Him is the core of our existence and the foundation of our relationship with others which bears abundant fruits in our mission.

The entire congregation experienced the unfailing overflow of graces and blessings of God all through the days of the chapter and everyone felt the need for renewal in the consecrated life and re-commitment in the missionary apostolate. Various sessions and reflections reinforced the chapter members to be grateful for the gift of religious vocation and to recognize it as an onward journey in union with God and with others.

As the MSMHCs end this important event of the Congregation, we take the words of Pope Francis who passionately encourages each one of us to continue on our journey, with rapid and joyful steps: “…led by the Spirit, never unyielding, never closed, always open to the voice of God that speaks, that opens, that leads us and invites us to go towards the horizon.”
